SOLD SEPARATELY: The American Barbell resistance band series is available in light, medium and heavy resistance. The bands feature a black protective cover that makes them safer and more durable. The ergonomic handles provide a comfortable and secure grip. These bands are extremely strong, made with reflex surgical-grade elastic, offering realistic resistance comparable to free-weight training.

Using resistance bands provides variable linear resistance, resulting in greater activation of fast-twitch muscle fibres than with dumbbells or barbells. American Barbell bands let you simulate traditional exercises normally performed with light weights. They can also be anchored to a door to emulate cable machine exercises, such as lat pulldowns and chest presses.

Resistance colour coding:

• Green = Light

• Red = Medium

• Blue = Heavy

Resistance equivalents:

• Light: 5–12 lb (2,3–5.4 kg)

• Medium: 10–22 lb (4,5–10 kg)

• Heavy: 18–35 lb (8–15.9 kg)
